Scott Zimmer founded Optensity, Inc. in 2010 and held the role of Founder. Prior to that, they worked as an Engineer at Solers from 2008 to 2010. Before Solers, they were a Senior Member of Technical Staff at The Aerospace Corporation from 2006 to 2008.

Scott Zimmer earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Aeronautical and Astronautical Engineering from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign in 2001. Following their undergraduate studies, they pursued a PhD in Aerospace Engineering at The University of Texas at Austin, which they completed in 2005.
