Scott Harrison started their work experience in 1994 as a Systems Engineer at GEC Marconi Avionics. Scott then worked as a Software Engineer at Caldera from 1997 to 1999. In 1999, they joined Tao Group Ltd. as a Developer, where they focused on device driver development and platform integration. Scott worked there until 2007. From 2007 to 2008, they worked briefly at Antix Labs as a Developer, helping to port their software stack to different operating systems. Scott joined Cisco Systems in 2008 as a Software Engineer and was responsible for maintaining their Linux distribution and toolchain for their Video Communications Server. Scott stayed at Cisco until 2018. From 2018 to 2021, they worked at Forcepoint as a Senior Software Development Engineer, where they maintained their Linux/docker/CentOS infrastructure and improved the infrastructure as they migrated to AWS. Currently, Scott Harrison works as a Senior Software Engineer at Opsview, starting in 2021.

Scott Harrison attended Wilmington Grammar from 1984 to 1991 but did not receive a degree or pursue any specific field of study during this time. Afterward, from 1991 to 1994, they enrolled at the University of Bristol and completed a Bachelor's degree in Aeronautical Engineering.
