Emily Bascom currently serves as a Client Service Associate at Oppenheimer & Co. Inc. since February 2023. Prior experience includes roles as a User Research Assistant with the University of Washington Medical Center, focusing on implicit bias in patient-provider communication, and as a Teaching Assistant at the University of Washington, supporting over 150 students in informatics classes. Emily has also conducted research at Seattle Children's on the experiences of pediatric kidney transplant patients, participated in various research assistant roles within the University of Washington's Information School, including studies on audio data collection and nature-based apps, and is pursuing a Master of Science in Human Centered Design & Engineering. Emily holds a Bachelor's degree in Informatics with a focus on Human Computer Interaction and Entrepreneurship from the University of Washington.
