Brian T O'Brien has a diverse and extensive work experience in the field of architecture and design. Brian T is currently the Founder and CEO of OPOPLAN since February 2019. Prior to that, they worked as an Architect/Designer/Consultant at Solearth Design in Ireland starting from August 2018. Brian also served as a Lecturer (PT) at the Dublin School of Architecture, Technological University Dublin (Ireland) since 2001.

From January 1999 to June 2018, Brian was the Director and Lead Architect (Partner) at Solearth Architecture, where they worked on various architecture design projects in the USA, Ireland, Europe, Asia, and participated in H2020 Projects.

Additionally, Brian served as the Chair at the Living Building Institute in Ireland from July 2010 to December 2015. Brian T also gained experience as a Builder-Architect at the Centre for Maximum Potential Building in Austin, Texas from April 1995 to August 1996.

Brian T O'Brien obtained a Bachelor of Architectural Science (Hons) degree in Architecture from Trinity College Dublin, Ireland in 1991. Brian T also completed a Diploma in Architecture (Hons) from Technological University Dublin in the same year. In 1993, Brian earned a Certificate in Bau-biologie from the Institute for Bau-biology, specializing in Architectural Ecology. Later, from 1997 to 1999, they pursued a Masters of Architecture degree with a focus on Architecture & Sustainable Design from the University of California, Berkeley.
