Tarja Leblay serves as a Counsellor of Education at the Finnish National Board of Education since September 2001, focusing on the development of national testing systems, particularly in language testing and authorized translators, with recent work on establishing the register of legal interpreters. Additionally, Tarja has held the title of PhD, Counsellor of Education with the National Board of Education, Finland during the same period. Previous roles include teaching French-Finnish translation at the University of Turku from September 2012 to July 2014, teaching French at the University of Tampere from September 2000 to July 2002, and conducting research at the University of Jyväskylä from January 1997 to December 2000. Tarja holds a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Language Testing with areas of expertise including self-assessment, French as a foreign language, speaking, and oral proficiency from the University of Jyväskylä.
