Aino Likitalo has a diverse work experience spanning over a decade. Aino began their career as a journalist, working for Yhtyneet Kuvalehdet from May 2008 to December 2008. Aino then worked as a freelance journalist from January 2009 to May 2009, followed by a brief stint as a journalist at Newspaper Aamulehti from June 2009 to August 2009.

In 2010, Likitalo transitioned to the field of communications and information services. Aino worked as an Information Officer at UPM from May 2010 to August 2010. Later that year, in September 2010, they joined the Finnish Immigration Service (Maahanmuuttovirasto) as an Information Officer, a role they held until February 2017. Aino then became the Head of Press and Communications Services at the same organization from February 2017 to May 2015.

In 2019, Likitalo joined the Finnish National Agency for Education (Opetushallitus) as the Head of Communications, a position they held until December 2021. Currently, they are serving as the Director of Communications at the same organization.

Throughout their career, Likitalo has gained valuable experience in journalism and communication roles, showcasing their versatility and adaptability in different work environments.

Aino Likitalo earned their Master's degree from the University of Tampere, one of Finland's oldest and prestigious institutions, from 2002 to 2009. During this time, they pursued a multidisciplinary education, studying various subjects including German, Swedish, Journalism, Education, and Media education.
