Virginia Wawner is an experienced professional with a robust background in alumni and parent engagement, international program management, and education. Currently serving as the Associate Director of Alumni and Parent Engagement at the University of Virginia since May 2014, Virginia also holds the position of Manager of International Programs at Operation Smile since July 2011, where responsibilities include hiring and training program coordinators and executing a comprehensive training program. Previous roles include serving as a Program Coordinator at Operation Smile, an intern at the International Rescue Committee, an ESL teacher and advisor at Blue Ridge School, a counselor at Camp Rising Sun, and a program administrator for The Washington Workshops. Virginia holds a Master of Public Administration from The George Washington University and a Bachelor of Arts in Foreign Affairs from the University of Virginia.
