Michael Sheehan is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in the field of psychiatry and addiction research. Currently serving as the Principal Investigator for the NIDA-CTN Addictions Research Programs since July 2021, Michael has been instrumental in leading critical studies associated with the National Institute of Drug Abuse and the Clinical Trials Network. Additionally, Michael has held the position of Medical Director at Operation PAR and maintained a private practice at North Tampa Psychiatric Associates since 1995, focusing on general adult psychiatric care with special interests in anxiety, mood disorders, and addiction. Michael's earlier experience includes serving as Unit Director at the University of South Florida from July 1987 to July 1994. Michael is a graduate of University College Dublin, where an MB BCh BAO was earned, equivalent to an MD in the United States, and attended Clongowes Wood College in Ireland for high school education.
