Andreas Olmes has held various roles in the tech industry since 2008. Andreas began their career at High-Tech Gründerfonds as a Principal | Prokurist. In 2009, they joined Mister Spex as a Board Observer. In 2011, they were appointed Board Member at HiperScan GmbH. From 2013 to 2015, they served as M&A Consultant at MinCell GmbH and KonTEM GmbH. During this time, they also acted as Lead Investor at Extoll from 2015 to 2017 and at Multiphoton Optics GmbH from 2015 to 2021. Additionally, they were a Board Observer at Cuculus GmbH from 2017 to 2021, and Lead Investor at EH-D GmbH from 2017 to 2021. Currently, they are Lead Investor at Operaize.

Andreas Olmes obtained a Diploma in Physics (Specialisation on Laser Medicine in Ophthalmology) from The University of Bonn between 1988 and 1994. Andreas then went on to earn a Dr. rer. nat. in Physics (Specialisation on Laser Medicine in Ophthalmology) from Leibniz Universität Hannover between 1995 and 1997. In August 2020, they completed a Machine Learning Course by Andrew Ng: Online non-Credit Course authorized by Stanford University and offered through Coursera through Coursera.
