Jon Hicks is an experienced designer currently serving as the Lead Designer of the desktop team at Opera since September 2008, following a role as Senior Graphic Designer. Prior to this, Jon Hicks worked at HICKSDESIGN LIMITED from September 2007 to February 2009 as a Graphic Designer, where the Hicksdesign studio also co-organized The Rissington podcast, focusing on web design, technology, and cheese. Jon Hicks holds a British National Higher Education Diploma in Graphic Design, obtained from a Wildlife Illustration major between 1992 and 1995, and a British National Education Diploma in Graphic Design, secured while studying Science and Technology Illustration from 1990 to 1992.
