Vincent De Schutter

Blockchain Security Researcher at OpenZeppelin

Vincent De Schutter has an extensive work experience in the field of security and technology. Vincent is currently working at OpenZeppelin as a Blockchain Security Researcher since 2023. Prior to this, they worked at MOXIE as a Web2 & Web3 Security Consultant starting in 2022. Vincent also worked at Cegeka as a Security Engineer from 2022 to 2023. Before that, they had a significant tenure at NVISO Security, where they held the position of Senior Security Consultant from 2018 to 2022. During this time, they were responsible for maintaining the web assessment methodology, sharing the latest web attacks, and acting as a primary contact for technical web-related inquiries. Vincent also served as a Security Consultant at NVISO Security from 2018 to 2020. Vincent had internships at ZIONSECURITY in 2017 and TenForce in 2015, where they gained experience in developing mobile applications and working with front-end frameworks and open source map software respectively.

Vincent De Schutter completed their Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science at Vrije Universiteit Brussel from 2012 to 2015. Vincent then pursued further education and obtained a Master of Science in Applied Sciences and Engineering with a specialization in Computer Science: Profile Software Languages and Software Engineering from the same university between 2015 and 2018. In 2016-2017, Vincent pursued a Master's Program in Computer Science with a focus on Information Security at ETH Zürich. Additionally, they have obtained several certifications in the field of web application penetration testing, including eWPTX v2 and eWPT v1 from eLearnSecurity in October 2021 and February 2020, respectively, as well as being certified as a Burp Suite Practitioner by PortSwigger in September 2021.
