Daniel Gomez Blanco is a seasoned software engineer and technical lead with extensive experience in observability and operational monitoring. Currently serving as a Governance Committee Member for the OpenTelemetry project, Daniel has been with Skyscanner as a Principal Software Engineer since August 2018, focusing on enabling engineers to implement best practices in telemetry data. Previously held roles include Senior Staff Engineer at Skipjaq, where responsibilities encompassed application onboarding and configuration, and software engineering positions at CERN, VASS, Grupo Cuevas, and the University of Vigo. Daniel possesses advanced qualifications in Computer Science, holding multiple master's degrees and a bachelor's degree from esteemed institutions.
