Nicholas B. has a diverse work experience in the technology field. Nicholas started their career as a student assistant at California Polytechnic State University, where they gained experience in computer desktop support and was recognized as the student assistant of the year. Nicholas then worked as a Microwave Engineer at Microsemi for a brief period before joining Space Systems Loral as an RF Electrical Engineer/Software Engineer. During their time at Space Systems Loral, Nicholas developed a database application using .Net Framework technologies.

Afterwards, Nicholas joined Confirmit as a Software Engineer and later became a Software Architect. Nicholas played a crucial role in implementing and executing the company's architecture goals, including designing and rearchitecting services to support scalability using microservice architecture and message queuing. Nicholas also mentored a team of engineers in an agile development environment.

Most recently, Nicholas is currently working at OpenTable as a Principal Software Engineer. Nicholas has added numerous new features to the OpenTable GuestCenter platform and has introduced domain-driven concepts into RESTful APIs. Nicholas has also migrated the architecture of the API towards event sourcing.

Nicholas B. attended California Polytechnic State University-San Luis Obispo from 2005 to 2010 and earned a Bachelor of Science (BS) in Electrical and Electronics Engineering. Prior to that, they attended Diablo Valley College from 2003 to 2004, where they studied Programming with C++.
