Andrew McGuigan has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries. Starting in 2008, they worked as a Sales Representative for Vector Marketing. From 2009 to 2012, they served as a Lead Tutor/Mentor for THINK Together. In 2011, they took on a Marketing/Public Relations Intern role at Aratik USA Boardsports Training Company and also worked as a Server at Tokyo Cafe. In 2012, they briefly assumed the position of Interim Sales Manager at Aratik USA Boardsports Training Company.
In 2012, McGuigan joined Sungevity, where they held multiple roles. As a Solar Sales Consultant, they successfully sold residential solar systems and provided comprehensive explanations of solar financing options and incentives. Andrew then became a Technical Sales Associate, qualifying leads and scheduling appointments for consultants while achieving impressive sales conversion rates. After that, they served as a Customer Experience Manager, handling operational and customer service challenges and training merging teams. Finally, as a Reseller Training Manager, they trained partners and sales representatives on Sungevity's platform.
In 2017, McGuigan joined WESCO Distribution as a Senior Solar Sales Representative for the Pacific Northwest region. There, they developed expertise in solar sales and contributed to the growth of the company until 2021.
Starting in 2019, McGuigan served on the Board of Directors for the Oregon Solar Energy Industries Association (OSEIA) until 2021.
Currently, they are employed at OpenSolar, initially taking on the position of Pro Experience & Business Development Manager for the USA and later transitioning to the role of Head of Pro Experience for the USA.
Andrew McGuigan attended Canyon Crest Academy from 2004 to 2008 and obtained a High School Diploma. Andrew then enrolled at Chapman University from 2008 to 2012, where they earned a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Political Science/International Relations. During their time at Chapman University, in 2010, Andrew also completed a Semester at Sea program, focusing on History, which resulted in a minor in History. In 2011, they participated in the International Seliger Youth Forum, specializing in World Politics.
