John Davenport

Elixir Engineer at Openforce

John Davenport has a diverse work experience spanning over several years. John has worked at various companies in different roles.

John started working at GE in 2005 as a Hardware Design Engineer, where they designed and redesigned electronic products. John then moved on to become a Hardware Support Engineer, providing support for GE's Intelligent Platforms portfolio. Later, they became an LTS Representative and Product Specialist, helping implement a long-term support business model at GE.

After leaving GE, John joined GENI as the CTO, where they played a crucial role in hardware and software development, building relationships with customers and partners, managing installation projects, and developing infrastructure.

John then co-founded CompassioNote, a company that scrapes obituary Internet feeds to alert clients and provide them with an opportunity to send condolence cards or flowers directly from the platform.

John later started their own web development business as a self-employed web developer.

John joined EnovaPremier, LLC as an IT Production Project Manager and later became the IT Production Manager, managing the company's MES and ERP software portfolio, computer hardware, and software.

John also worked as a Senior Product Specialist and Head of Implementation at FunnelCloud Inc., where they explained the company's products to customers, guided software development, and worked on ERP integrations.

John then worked at Openforce as an Elixir Engineer.

Currently, John is the Owner of UserDocs and Discussit, utilizing their skills as a developer and entrepreneur.

John Davenport attended The University of Alabama in Huntsville from 1999 to 2005, where they earned a Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering. In 2016, they obtained a certification in Project Management Professional from PMI.
