Kris Farber has a diverse work experience, beginning with their role as Senior Editor at Tayga.info in 2009. In 2013, they became Editor In Chief at Look At Media, followed by a role as Product Manager at 2GIS in 2015. In 2016, they were Chief Business Development Officer at Shelly. In 2019, they became a Fellow in the Women in Tech Acceleration Program at Baltic Sandbox and Co-Founder and CEO at Openface. In 2020, they became a Fellow in the Startup Leadership Program.

Kris Farber studied at Novosibirsk State University (NSU) from 2007 to 2012. In 2016, they attended St Antony's College at the University of Oxford to study Freedom of Speech, Media and Society. No additional certifications were obtained.
