John Malloy has a diverse work experience. John started their career as a Summer Research Assistant at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, where they used high-throughput computational resources to infer phylogenetic networks. John then worked as a Computer Science Teaching Assistant at the University of Maryland Baltimore County, teaching an introductory computer science class and working on a research project related to mathematics, biology, and statistics. John also served as a High School Science Educator at Archbishop Curley High School and as an Outdoor Educator at the University of Arizona. Furthermore, they pursued their doctoral studies at Arizona State University and the University of Glasgow, specializing in various research areas. Most recently, they worked as a Grant Coordinator at the Arizona Science Policy Network and as a Scientific Integration Engineer at OpenEye and Cadence Molecular Sciences.

John Malloy's education history begins in 2011 when they enrolled at the University of Maryland Baltimore County. John pursued a Bachelor's Degree in Bioinformatics and Computational Biology, completing their studies in 2015.

Following their undergraduate degree, John furthered their education at Notre Dame of Maryland University from 2015 to 2017. During this period, they obtained a Master's Degree in Secondary Education and Teaching.

Continuing their academic journey, John enrolled at Arizona State University in 2018. John is currently pursuing a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Complex Systems, with an expected completion date in 2023.
