Lodewijk Asscher is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in leadership and advisory roles across various sectors. Currently serving as the Chair of the Board of Trustees at Muziekgebouw aan 't IJ and the Openbare Bibliotheek Amsterdam, as well as a Partner at Van de Bunt since March 2022, Lodewijk also held the position of Special Adviser for Ukraine for the European Commission from June 2022 to June 2023, focusing on the integration of Ukrainian refugees and labor market challenges. Previous roles include serving as the political leader and parliamentary group chair of PvdA, Minister of Social Affairs and Employment, and Deputy Mayor of Amsterdam. Lodewijk Asscher holds a law degree from the University of Amsterdam and has furthered education at Columbia University.
