Ashley Pettway Carter serves as the Director of the Capital Teaching Residency program at KIPP DC since January 2021, overseeing the training, development, and certification for teaching residents across various educational levels. Additional experiences include founding roles and instructional leadership in various educational settings, with a focus on developing effective teaching practices and supporting diverse student needs. Ashley holds a Master of Science in Counseling from Johns Hopkins University and a Bachelor of Arts from William & Mary.
