Veronica Mercer is a mental health accredited social worker with over 17 years of experience in the counseling field, currently employed at Open Minds since October 2019 as a child therapist specializing in neurodevelopmental disorders. Veronica has also been self-employed as a social worker since November 2009, focusing on empowering individuals, families, and communities. Past roles include mental health accredited social worker at Reflective Counselling & Social Work Services, torture and trauma counselor for asylum seekers at IOTHS Christmas Island, and mental health social worker at headspace working with youth aged 12 to 25. Education includes a Bachelor of Social Work from CQUniversity and a Bachelor of Social Science from Southern Cross University.
