Shaida Badiee is the Managing Director and Co-founder of Open Data Watch, a nonprofit organization established in September 2013 to promote open access to development data and strengthen partnerships among data users and producers. Previously, Badiee served as the Director of the Development Data Group at the World Bank Group from July 1995 to August 2013, where leadership included the creation of statistical data products such as the World Development Indicators and the implementation of initiatives to enhance statistical capacity in developing countries. Badiee holds a Master's degree in Engineering and Computer Science from The George Washington University and a Bachelor's degree in Pre-Medical Studies from the University of Maryland.
