Sarah Lockey has worked in the fundraising sector since 2018. In that year, they began working as a Community Fundraiser North East for Meningitis Now. In this role, Sarah dedicated their life to raising awareness of Meningitis and worked along side their daughter to help prosthetic companies in the development of kids prosthetic hands.

In 2020, Sarah began working as a Fundraising Manager for Open Bionics. In this role, they are responsible for ensuring the success of Hero Arm crowdfunding campaigns. This includes planning the campaign strategy, creating the campaign page and video, proactively managing the campaign from launch to hitting the target (including weekly updates), and amplifying the reach of every campaign (press, social media, email, crowdfunders’ network, local community engagement etc). Sarah also works closely with the Lead Qualification Manager.

Sarah Lockey attended The University of Huddersfield from 1998 to 2001 and obtained a Bachelor of Science in Textile Design.
