Rodrigo Vaamonde has extensive experience in the field of QA Automation Engineering. Rodrigo is currently working as a Senior QA Automation Engineer at Oomnitza since February 2021. Prior to this, they worked at OpenJaw Technologies from July 2019 to February 2021, where they held the position of Build and Release Engineer. In this role, they focused on replacing automation frameworks across different teams, providing standardization in quality practices, and offering performance and coverage improvements.

Before that, Rodrigo worked as a QA Automation Engineer at Mapflow, a LexisNexis Company from September 2017 to June 2019. Here, they were responsible for developing automation suites for both UI and API, using Selenium, Cucumber, and Rest-Assured frameworks built-in Java. Rodrigo also worked on the design and prioritization of scenarios on a Roadmap and configuration of Jenkins and Gitlab Runner.

Prior to that, Rodrigo worked as a QA Automation Engineer at Valtech Digital from June 2014 to July 2017. Here, they developed an API automation suite from scratch using Java and Rest-Assured. Rodrigo worked closely with developers and POs in both Waterfall and Agile environments and also designed exercises to evaluate problem-solving skills during QA candidate interviews.

Rodrigo also has experience as a Software Engineer at Cardif Pinnacle on a short-term contract, where they worked on developing new infrastructure in Oracle for Cardif insurance company, primarily writing PL-SQL SPs. Rodrigo started their career at Ibermática in 2011, where they were a Software Engineer. Rodrigo'sresponsibilities included system migration from Adabas to Oracle, using web services built on Java and a front-end on VB6. Rodrigo also led a team of up to 12 junior programmers and managed version control with TortoiseSVN.

Rodrigo's career began as a QA Tester at MercadoLibre.com, where they performed various types of automated and manual testing activities at different levels, focusing on UI automation with Selenium IDE.

Rodrigo Vaamonde obtained a Bachelor of Technology - BTech degree in Information Technology from Escuela Técnica N2 de Vicente López from 2007 to 2009. Later, they pursued a Test Management Certification in Computer Software Engineering from the ISTQB - International Software Testing Qualifications Board, from 2018 to 2020.
