Sheryl Petersen has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and industries. Sheryl is currently working at Ookla as a Data Science Manager since January 2023. Previously, they worked as a Data Scientist at Ookla from April 2019 to January 2023, and prior to that, they served as a Data Analyst from May 2018 to April 2019.
Before Ookla, Sheryl worked at INRIX as a Data Analyst from December 2015 to November 2017. Sheryl also had a role as a Research Fellow at Holden Forests & Gardens from October 2013 to August 2014, where they conducted research in Urban Plant Ecology at The Cleveland Botanical Garden and served as the R. Sheryl Petersen pursued their education in the field of Ecology. Sheryl completed their Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Biology at Hiram College in 2000. Following this, they furthered their studies at Case Western Reserve University, where they obtained a Master of Science (MS) degree in Ecology in 2006. Sheryl continued their academic journey at Case Western Reserve University and successfully earned a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Ecology in 2012.
