Svilen Velikov has a strong background in software engineering and development. Svilen began their career in 2007 as a Developer at Sirma ITT, where they worked until 2011. During this time, they focused on the development of enterprise and proof-of-concept web applications using XQuery, MarkLogic server, XPath, JavaScript, jQuery, HTML, and CSS.

In 2011, Svilen joined Sirma Solutions as a Developer, further advancing their skills in web application development. Svilen played a key role in building enterprise web applications and utilizing client-side scripting technologies.

In 2012, Svilen transitioned to a role at Sirma Enterprise Systems as a Senior Software Developer Team Lead. Svilen took on the responsibility of designing and leading teams in the development of enterprise web applications. Additionally, they actively contributed to test automation and integrated Behavior-Driven Development (BDD) processes into the product life cycle.

Continuing their career growth, Svilen moved back to Sirma Solutions in 2017 as a Senior Software Developer Team Lead. Here, they excelled in designing and leading teams in the development of outstanding enterprise web applications. Svilen took on the challenge of integrating the Zimbra webmail client into a large enterprise platform.

Currently, Svilen is working at Ontotext and Sirma AI as a Senior Software Engineer. Since 2019, they have been heavily involved in various projects, notably leading the development of the Ontotext Metadata Studio frontend application.

Throughout their career, Svilen Velikov's work experience demonstrates a strong foundation in software engineering and development, with a focus on enterprise web applications and client-side scripting technologies.

Svilen Velikov pursued their education in Computer Science at the University of Ruse from 2005 to 2010, where they obtained a Bachelor's degree.
