Matthew Bulat is a seasoned software engineer currently contributing to the Nova Context team at EXFO Ontology since November 2018, focusing on the development of a real-time network and service topology platform utilizing a graph-data based approach. With a strong background in Java and full-stack development, Matthew has extensive experience in troubleshooting and maintaining a legacy Java 8 codebase. Prior to EXFO, Matthew served in various roles at Middlesex University, including Graduate Academic Assistant and Web Administrator, where responsibilities included curriculum development and student support. Earlier experience includes an internship as a Global NOC Operator at BlackBerry, where Matthew managed infrastructure software and hardware issues. Matthew holds multiple degrees from Middlesex University, including a BSc in Computer Networks, a Master's by Research in Neural Networks, and is currently pursuing a PGCert in Higher Education.
