Ariel Burgess is a Research Coordinator at Queen's University, managing research activities at the Institute of Intergovernmental Relations since November 2022. Previously serving as a Lead Research Assistant on a project focused on terrorist financing, Ariel Burgess has also conducted investigative research on international money laundering. In addition to research roles, Ariel Burgess holds leadership positions as the Eastern Regional Coordinator for Ontario Young Liberals and as a Director At Large for the Kingston & the Islands Federal Liberal Association. Ariel Burgess co-directs the Perspectives on Gender, Equity, and Politics Journal, overseeing its production and coordination. Interning in the Senate of Canada and participating in various roles within student political associations, Ariel Burgess has gained extensive experience in political communication and policy development. Currently pursuing a Master of Arts in War Studies at the Royal Military College of Canada, Ariel Burgess holds a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) in Political Science and Government from Queen's University.
