Mike Bylund has extensive experience in software engineering, with a focus on healthcare platforms and interoperability standards. Mike recently joined Ontada as a Lead Software Engineer. Prior to that, they worked as a Software Engineering Consultant and Informaticist and Sr. Software Engineer at Interopion for over four years, where they collaborated with healthcare providers to apply interoperability standards and reduce costs. Mike has experience leading projects and teams, designing and implementing RESTful FHIR APIs in Java, and working directly with clinicians to extract requirements and build full-stack web applications. Mike has also worked as a graduate research assistant at Arizona State University and a .NET Web Application Developer at Trans-Soft, Inc.

Mike Bylund earned a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science in 2011 from Utah State University and a Master of Science in Biomedical Informatics in 2013 from Arizona State University. In February 2019, they obtained a certification from ConsenSys Academy for completing the Ethereum Blockchain Developer Bootcamp.
