Derrick Furlow Jr is an accomplished leader in athlete engagement and mental health initiatives. Currently serving as Chief Athletic Officer and Vice President of Athlete Engagement at Onrise since January 2023, Derrick focuses on empowering athletes to support one another in mental wellness. As the CEO/President of Sports Life Business, LLC since 2017, Derrick authored the book "What's Next?" to assist athletes, military veterans, and others in transitioning to new life phases. Derrick founded SLB The Agency in August 2022, the first athlete-owned sports agency centered on mental health, facilitating NIL deals for athletes. Derrick's prior roles include CEO/President of Impact, Inspire, & Empower LLC, Managing Partner at Be A College Athlete, and Professional Speaker for 4 College 4 Life. Academic credentials include a Master's degree in Sports Psychology and a Bachelor's degree in Legal Studies from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville.
