Ramón Gómez Ugalde has a diverse range of work experience. Ramón currently serves as the President of MONDRAGON Hospitality, where they oversee various hotels, residences, and hospitals worldwide. Prior to this, they worked as the RELACIONES INSTITUCIONALES at MONDRAGON Corporation and as the Corporate Director at ONNERA GROUP, an international group involved in the manufacturing and sale of equipment for the restaurant, laundry, and commercial refrigeration sectors. Ramón also served as the General Sales Manager at DANONA and held the position of Consejero at Paradores, where they played a key role in improving the company's commercial strategy and financial performance. Ramón has a strong background in government and public sector roles, having served as the Subdirector General in the Cabinet of the Minister of Energy, Tourism, and Digital Agenda, and as the Subdirector General in the Cabinet of the Minister of Health, Social Services, and Equality. Ramón also has extensive experience in municipal and regional government, having held positions such as Portavoz at the Ayuntamiento de San Sebastián and Secretario Exteriores y Relaciones Internacionales at the Parlamento Vasco. Earlier in their career, they worked as the Director Ejecutivo at GRUPO AFER, where they focused on strategic planning, business development, and management coordination.

Ramón Gómez Ugalde completed the Leadership Program for Public Sector Management at IESE Business School from 2012 to 2013. Prior to that, they pursued a degree in Dirección de Empresas Turísticas at the University of Deusto from 1996 to 2000.
