Stephen DeMeo DO, MEd has a diverse work experience in the medical field. Stephen is currently the Director of Medical Education at OnlineMedEd since 2022. Prior to this, they worked as a Physician-Neonatologist at WakeMed starting in 2015, where they provided high-quality care to premature and critically ill newborns and promoted family-centered care. In 2017, they took on the role of Regional Assistant Dean at Campbell University's School of Osteopathic Medicine, where they provided leadership and support for teaching programs and focused on faculty development and student mentoring. Additionally, they have also served as an Adjunct Assistant Professor of Pediatrics at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill School of Medicine since 2022. Stephen has gained further experience as a Consultant and Key Opinion Leader-Womb to World Advisory Board at Procter & Gamble since 2018 and as a Physician Reviewer in Neonatology and Pediatrics at HQSI (Healthcare Quality Strategies, Inc) since 2020. Prior to these roles, they were the Director of Student Medical Education at Campbell University's School of Osteopathic Medicine from 2015 to 2022. Stephen also worked as a Medical Consultant at Google from 2014 to 2016 and as a Neonatology Fellow at Duke University Health System from 2012 to 2015. Stephen began their medical career as a Pediatric Resident at Nemours from 2008 to 2012.
Stephen DeMeo DO, MEd began their education journey in 2000 at Muhlenberg College, where they earned a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Biology/Spanish. Following this, from 2004 to 2008, they attended Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine and obtained a Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree, specializing in Osteopathic Medicine/Osteopathy. Later, between 2013 and 2015, they pursued a Master of Education (MEd) in Medical Education Leadership at the University of New England.
