Gene Kulesha has held various roles in the medical device industry since 1996. Gene began their career at Stryker as a Senior Research Engineer in the Technology Development department, and later became the Product Manager for the Bone Substitutes Business Unit. In the Manufacturing department, they worked as the Project Manager for the Titanium and Acetabular Departments. Gene then moved up the ranks to become the Senior Manager of Platform Technology Engineering, and later the Director of Platform Technology Engineering. In 2017, they joined ONKOS SURGICAL as the Senior Director of Advanced Engineering. In this role, they led a global team of managers, engineers and scientists in the development, scale-up, global regulatory approval and mass commercialization of four Additively Manufactured orthopaedic implant systems. Gene also educated the FDA and global regulatory agencies in Additive Manufacturing and other orthopaedic technologies, and developed and validated clinically relevant test methods.
Gene Kulesha obtained a Master of Science degree in Materials Science from Stevens Institute of Technology and a Bachelors of Engineering degree in Materials Engineering from the same institution. Gene also attended an Executive Leadership Program at Harvard University.
