Marcin Węgrecki has worked as a Senior Scientist at oNKo-innate Pty Ltd since June 2023. Prior to that, from January 2018 to May 2023, they held the position of Research Fellow at Monash University. Marcin also worked as a Postdoctoral Fellow at the University of Copenhagen from November 2015 to December 2017. Additionally, Marcin was a PhD Student (JAE-Predoc Fellowship) at the Instituto de Biomedicina de Valencia, Signal Transduction Unit from October 2010 to September 2015. Marcin gained research experience as a Summer Research Student (JAE-Intro Fellowship, CSIC) at the Molecular Genetics Unit, IBV-CSIC in July and August 2010. Lastly, Marcin worked as a Research Student at the Department of Genetics at Universidad de Valencia from October 2009 to June 2010, focusing on genetic manipulation and expression of Vip toxin gene from B. thuringiensis in Pseduomonas fluorescens and bio-assays of its toxicity against Spodoptera species.
Marcin Węgrecki began their education in 2005 at Universidad de Salamanca, where they pursued a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology/Biological Sciences. Marcin completed this program in 2010. In the same year, they enrolled at the University of Valencia to pursue another Bachelor of Science degree, this time in Biochemistry. Marcin finished this program in 2012.
Marcin continued their education in 2010 at the University of Valencia, where they pursued a Master of Science degree in Molecular Approaches in Health Sciences. Marcin completed this program in 2011.
In 2011, Marcin Węgrecki furthered their education at Universitat Politècnica de València (UPV), where they pursued a Doctor of Philosophy degree in Biotechnology. Marcin successfully completed their PhD program in 2015.
