Jaya Shukla is an Associate Researcher at the Indian Institute of Technology, Guwahati since August 2023, and has served as a Translator at Water Science Policy since May 2021. Prior experience includes roles as a Research Officer at the Institute for Resource Analysis and Policy, and a Research Assistant with the University of North Carolina and NIT-Raipur, where Jaya contributed to research on distributed energy resources in developing countries and the impact of solar water pump programs in Chhattisgarh. Additional experience includes working as a Research Consultant for the IWMI-GIZ Solar Irrigation Project, a Research Fellow at Shillim Institute, and a Research Intern at the Defence Research & Development Organisation, focusing on sustainable agricultural practices. Jaya holds an M.A/M.Sc in Water Policy and Governance from Tata Institute of Social Sciences and a Bachelor of Science in Agriculture from Govind Ballabh Pant Agriculture College, along with participation in the Winter Institute on the WATER-FOOD-ENERGY Nexus at IHE Delft Institute for Water Education.
