Leah Akannam, MPA, is an experienced recruiter currently employed at One Hope United since August 2022, where responsibilities include developing sourcing strategies and leading the full recruitment process for mental health facility positions in Illinois. In addition to recruiting, Leah has held multiple roles as a brand ambassador since 2019 with various companies, including MKTG, Victory Marketing Agency, and Michele & Group Modeling and Talent Agency, focusing on promotional activities. Prior experience includes serving as a Child Protective Specialist for the State of Illinois, conducting child safety assessments, and building community relationships. Leah also worked as a Public Relations Coordinator and a Life Skills Instructor, where skills in communication, relationship building, and instruction of essential life skills were developed. Academic qualifications include a Master of Public Administration and a Master's in Professional Counseling from Lindenwood University, as well as a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Southern Illinois University Edwardsville.
