Jenny Nyström's work experience includes positions at various institutions. Jenny started their career as a Postdoc at Albert Einstein College of Medicine in 2000 and then moved on to become an Associate Professor and Senior Lecturer at the University of Gothenburg in 2002. Jenny continued their work at the University of Gothenburg, eventually becoming a Professor in the Institute of Neuroscience and Physiology in 2012. In 2018, they were appointed as the Head of Institute at the same institution. Additionally, in 2011, they founded Oncorena AB and worked as the Founder and Owner. Their role at Oncorena involved basic research, drug development, and business development, particularly focused on developing a drug for kidney cancer.
Jenny Nyström pursued their education in the field of science with a focus on physiology and molecular biology. From 1992 to 1995, they attended Lund University where they obtained a Master of Science (MSc) degree in Molecular Biology. Building upon their previous educational achievements, Jenny continued their academic journey at the University of Gothenburg, where they completed a Ph.D. in Physiology from 2000 to 2002.
