Lance Thomas has been working in the field since 2004, when they began as a Research Inst and Postdoctoral Fellow at Vanderbilt. Lance then moved to Insight Genetics in 2014 as a Scientist II, before joining Vanderbilt University Medical Center in 2015 as a Research Assistant Professor. Most recently, in 2020, Lance Thomas began working as a Senior Scientist at Oncocyte Corporation.

Lance Thomas received their B.S. in Biology from the University of Utah between 1994 and 1998. Lance then went on to earn their Ph.D. in Cancer Biology from Wake Forest University between 1999 and 2004.
