Peter Mercado-Reyes has a strong background in research and scientific roles. Peter started their career as an Undergraduate Researcher at Brown University and later worked as an Undergraduate Researcher at Dr. Clemens Laboratory. Peter then served as a Chief Science Officer and Treasurer for the International Genetic Engineered Machines Team at Purdue University.

Peter's experience also includes being a Student Intern at Skyepack LLC and participating in the Emily Mauzy Vogel Sophomore Leadership Development Conference (EMV) at Emily Mozel.

Peter continued their research career as a Research Assistant at Columbia University, where they worked until 2017. Peter then joined Kallyope as a Research Associate III, where they focused on gut-brain circuits and performed various techniques such as chemo-genetics and fiber photometry.

In 2018, Peter became the Head of Content and Community at On The Revel, a company that highlights diversity in the cannabis industry through online content and events. Most recently, they joined CONBUD NY as the Marketing Director in 2023.

Throughout their career, Peter has demonstrated proficiency in scientific project management, data analysis, and experimental design.

Peter Mercado-Reyes earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Biochemistry from Purdue University from 2011 to 2015.
