Val Kravets has worked in the software engineering field since 2008. In 2008, they were an Electrical Panel Designer at Engineered System and Products. From 2009 to 2010, they were a Residential Assistant at the University of Maryland. In 2010, they were a Software Engineer at AAI Corporation. From 2012 to 2016, they were a Software Engineer at the United States Department of Defense, a Senior Software Engineer at Solers, and a Senior Software Engineer at Polaris Alpha (formerly Proteus Technologies). Since 2016, they have been a Senior Software Engineer at Omnyon.

Val Kravets completed a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science from the University of Maryland between 2008 and 2012. Following this, Val attended The Johns Hopkins University and obtained a Master's Degree in Computer Science between 2013 and 2015.
