Kristel Leisalu has a diverse work experience spanning several industries. Kristel is currently the Engineering Director at Omniva. Prior to this, they were a Member at Epic Angels. Kristel also worked at Viveo as the Head of Research, where they conducted various research activities to gain insights into the target market and customers. Before that, they served as the Head of Engineering, Ecosystem at Pipedrive, leading a team responsible for building an integration platform, developers' help, API documentation, and Marketplace. Kristel also held the position of Business Digitalization Officer at Eesti Energia, overseeing internal central services and ensuring the fulfillment of the digital strategy. Kristel has experience as a Network and Data Centres Manager at ENEFIT and as Head of Infrastructure and Operations in Estonia at Starman AS, where they managed data centers and networks. Additionally, they were a Member of the Board at the Estonian Association for Quality. Kristel started their career at Elisa Eesti AS, where they served as the Head of BPM Department and a Project Manager.
Kristel Leisalu has a diverse education history encompassing various fields of study. Kristel attended the University of Tartu and received a Master of Science degree in Conversion Master in IT from 2018 to 2021. Prior to that, in 2010-2011, they engaged in professional training for Quality Manager - Competence Course at TalTech – Tallinn University of Technology. In the same year, they also completed a 2-day course on Enterprise Wide Business Process Management at Stamford Global. In 2009, they pursued further professional development with courses such as ITIL v3 Foundation at BCS Koolitus and Scrum Master Course at Scrum Alliance, both lasting for 2 days. Additionally, they studied Business Process Optimisation at UCD Michael Smurfit Graduate Business School in 2009. Kristel Leisalu holds a Master of Arts degree in Adult Education from Tallinn University, where they studied from 2004 to 2007. Kristel also had the opportunity to be an exchange student at the University of Helsinki in 2005-2006, focusing on Adult Education. Finally, they obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in Fenno-Ugric languages from the University of Tartu, completing their studies from 1998 to 2003.
