Peter Danzig has a diverse work experience spanning over several years. Peter most recently served as the Vice President of Strategy at Omnifi since September 2019. Prior to that, they were the Chief Strategy Officer and Co-founder of Virtuata, Inc., which was later acquired by Cisco. From 2001 to 2010, they were a Visiting Instructor at Stanford University. Peter also worked as the Principal at Peter B Danzig, PhD from 2000 to 2010. In 2008, they served as the CEO of Wirama and successfully sold the company to Checkpoint Systems. Previously, they worked as a Consultant at Ironport from 2004 to 2007 and served on the Technical Advisory Board at Peribit from 2002 to 2005. From 1999 to 2001, they held the position of VP Technology at Akamai. Before that, they worked as an Associate Professor/Assistant Professor at the University of Southern California (USC) from 1990 to 1999. Peter also played a significant role as the Chief Architect/CTO NetCache Division at Network Appliance from 1997 to 1999, where they contributed to the company's success in the web caching space and actively participated in the development of the Internet Content Adaption protocol.
Peter Danzig earned their Ph.D. in Computer Science from the University of California, Berkeley, from 1984 to 1989.
