Sandhya Nair has a diverse work experience spanning over two decades. Sandhya started their career as a Lecturer at Mahatma Gandhi University in 1997 and later worked as a Clinical Biochemist at The Regional Cancer Center. In 2001, they became an Assistant Professor at Tamil Nadu Dr. M.G.R. Medical University before moving to the University of Kerala as an Assistant Professor from 2007 to 2009. Sandhya then took on roles as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the University of Regina, National Research Council Canada, and Dalhousie University. In 2014, they became a Research Associate at Institut de Recherche sur les Zones côtières Inc (irzc). Sandhya continued their research career as a Research Scientist at OmniActive Health Technologies in 2016 and is currently working as an Associate Scientist at Sekisui Diagnostics, LLC since 2019.
Sandhya Nair obtained a Masters in Applied Science in the field of Medical Biochemistry (Faculty of Medicine) from Mahatma Gandhi University. Following that, they pursued a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Biochemistry from the University of Kerala, completing it from 2001 to 2006.
