Lily Fu Claffee has extensive experience in the legal field, holding various high-level roles at notable organizations. Lily Fu is currently the EVP and Chief Legal Officer at OneMain Financial. Prior to this, they served as a Member of the Board of Directors at JACKSON Financial. From 2018 to 2021, they held the position of EVP and General Counsel at Fox News Media. Lily Fu also served as the Chief Legal Officer & General Counsel and EVP at the U.S. Chamber of Commerce from 2010 to 2018. Before that, they were a Partner at Jones Day, specializing in Government Regulation. In the public sector, they worked as the General Counsel for the U.S. Department of Commerce and as the Deputy General Counsel for the U.S. Department of the Treasury. Lily Fu also served as the Deputy Associate Attorney General at the U.S. Department of Justice. Furthermore, they have legal experience at Mayer Brown LLP, both as an Associate and as a Partner in the Litigation and Antitrust departments. Lily Fu began their legal career as a Judicial Clerk for the United States Court of Appeals for the Seventh Circuit.

Lily Fu Claffee obtained a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree from the University of Wisconsin-Madison in 1990. Lily Fu then went on to pursue a Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from the University of Minnesota Law School from 1990 to 1993. In addition to their formal education, Lily Fu Claffee also obtained a certification in Finance & Accounting for the Nonfinancial Executive from Columbia Business School Executive Education in 2023.
