Michelle Carlson is an experienced Library Specialist currently working at the Omaha Public Library since September 2017, focusing on original and copy cataloging, collection maintenance, and staff supervision within the Collection Processing department. Prior to this role, Michelle served as an Outreach Specialist at the Girl Scouts Spirit of Nebraska from 2014 to 2017, developing programming for under-served girls and managing volunteer advisors. Additional experience includes coordinating year-round services as Services Director at Launch Leadership, several roles at local libraries including Youth Services Assistant and Library Associate, and various customer service positions in the food industry. Michelle holds a Bachelor of General Studies with a major in Library Science and a concentration in Computer Science from the University of Nebraska at Omaha, along with an Associate of Arts in Library and Information Science from Central Community College.
