Dr. Andrew Baron is an Associate Professor of Psychology and Affiliate at the National Core for Neuroethics at the University of British Columbia. He is the founder and director of the Living Lab at Science World and a project coordinator for the consortium on Engendering Success in STEM, which focuses on identifying and removing barriers to female participation in STEM careers. Dr. Baron’s research primarily focuses on how unconscious thoughts and feelings form and influence behavior as well as establishing best practices for changing these unconscious biases. For his research accomplishments, Dr. Baron was named a Rising Star by the Association for Psychological Science and received a Killam Research prize.
