Igor Althoff Vidal has a diverse work experience starting from 2013. Igor began as an undergraduate researcher at the Universidade Federal de Santa Catarina, where they worked on the continuous improvement of a complete space mission.
In 2015, Igor joined Robota UFSC as an undergraduate researcher, where they focused on the development of scripts and the OpenCV library for mobile robotics projects. Igor later worked as a lift operator at Ober Gatlinburg, where they guided and assisted park visitors.
From 2016 to 2017, Igor returned to the Universidade Federal de Santa Catarina as an undergraduate researcher, where they focused on implementing technology to support the deaf community in public services using bootstrap. Igor also edited the Iberoamerican Journal of Industrial Engineering during this time.
In 2018, Igor joined the Instituto SENAI de Inovação - ISI/SC as an embedded software engineer intern, where they worked mainly with C++. During their internship, they focused on providing innovative solutions in embedded systems and cyber-physical systems.
In 2019, Igor joined Indtact GmbH as an embedded software engineer and worked on the development of an acoustic emission and vibration sensor. Igor also developed a new module for the sensor and implemented a library for designing digital filters.
In 2021, Igor worked as a data scientist at Dynamox before starting their own venture, Igor Alt Lab. At Igor Alt Lab, they worked as an embedded software engineer and developed projects for companies in the areas of software, artificial intelligence, and embedded systems.
Most recently, Igor joined Olibra in 2023 as an embedded software engineer, where they are currently employed.
Igor Althoff Vidal pursued a Master's degree in Artificial Intelligence from 2020 to 2021 at Universidad Politécnica de Madrid. Prior to that, from 2013 to 2019, they attended Universidade Federal de Santa Catarina where they obtained a degree in Control and Automation Engineering.
