Jim Strand is a seasoned professional in the oil and gas industry with extensive experience in software solutions, engineering management, and business development. As the founder of Oliasoft AS since February 2015, Jim has spearheaded the development of web-based software to enhance automated well planning and drilling operations for major industry players. Previously, Jim established the Integrated Project Management and Special Projects group at First Geo and took on various leadership roles, including founding WDO and serving as CEO to develop the iQx software suite. With a strong background as a senior drilling engineer and technical consultant for prominent companies like Statoil and AGR, Jim has consistently focused on digitalization, big data analytics, and operational efficiency. Educational credentials include an Executive MBA from MIT Sloan School of Management and a Master's in Petroleum Engineering from the Norwegian University of Science and Technology.
