Alan Smith is a seasoned legal professional with extensive experience in corporate and securities law. Currently serving as Senior Vice President of Corporate and Securities at Okta since January 2020, Alan has held various roles within the company, including Vice President and Senior Director. As a co-founder of the OakLuv Foundation, Alan has contributed to providing essential resources to underserved school children and families. Alan's previous experience includes serving as Director of SEC and Corporate Governance at Autodesk, and as Legal Director, Corporate at Dolby Laboratories, where responsibilities included compliance with major securities regulations. Alan began their career as a Senior Corporate Associate at Pillsbury Winthrop Shaw Pittman LLP. Alan holds a JD from the University of San Francisco School of Law and a BA in Sociology from UC Santa Barbara.
