Alexandra Renner

Director of Licensing at Oklo

Alexandra Renner is the current Director of Licensing at Oklo. Prior to this, they worked as a rotational program candidate at SRG Global, Inc., a travel agent at Rollinglobe Media, and a project manager at the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC). Alexandra is also a recent graduate of the Nuclear Safety Professional Development Program (NSPDP), an 18-month program for outstanding individuals from across the nation.

Alexandra began their career as a student engineer at the NRC in May 2010. In this role, they worked on various projects related to nuclear safety. In September 2013, they were promoted to Project Manager in the Office of Nuclear Reactor Regulation (NRR). In this role, they collaborated with NRC staff to produce quality documents that inform the NRC's licensees of potential generic issues that are safety significant, require technical resolution, etc.

In January 2013, Alexandra left the NRC to join SRG Global, Inc. as a rotational program candidate. This program consisted of an intense three-day interview which included oral, written and group challenges. After successfully completing the program, they returned to the NRC in December 2013.

In October 2012, Alexandra took a leave of absence from the NRC to work as a travel agent at Rollinglobe Media. In this role, they organized individual vacation packages for customers as well as promoting the company campus-wide at the University of Tennessee. Alexandra returned to the NRC in May 2013.

Alexandra has been with Oklo since May 2016. In their current role as Director of Licensing, they are responsible for overseeing all aspects of licensing for Oklo's products and services.

Alexandra Renner has a Bachelor’s Degree in Nuclear Engineering from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville. Alexandra is certified by the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission in Basic Inspector, Watts Bar 2 Construction and Post-Construction Phase Inspector, and Reactor Regulation Project Manager.
