Cherokee Ballard is an experienced communications professional currently serving as the Communications Manager at Oklahoma Natural Gas Company since October 2011, responsible for various communications and public relations efforts. Cherokee is also a Co-Author of "Who Killed Kelsey?", a critical examination of the child welfare system in Oklahoma, highlighting the case of Kelsey Briggs. Additionally, Cherokee has been an active Public Speaker and Actress since January 2000, delivering keynote addresses on topics such as cancer awareness and child abuse prevention. Prior roles include Interim CAO/PIO/Legislative Liaison at the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner, TV News Anchor/Reporter at KFOR and KOCO, and Adjunct Professor at the University of Oklahoma's Journalism School. Cherokee holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Journalism from the University of Oklahoma, earned between 1981 and 1985.
